THE IDEA BEHIND THE NAME
A framework.
A fresh starting point.
Our name is inspired by uhlaka — isiZulu for “framework”. Hlaka gives homeowners a framework for turning their own ideas into reality, without needing building experience.
Our aim is a comprehensive, all-inclusive package: reliable costing, a fair and consistent price, quality work and a happy experience. The process should be simple. You design. You place your order. Hlaka brings it together.
Know the cost as you create.
Every Hlaka block has a clear, all-inclusive price. Your total updates as you design, using the same pricing for everyone. No hidden fees waiting at the end.

A focused team.
A simpler experience.
Today, Hlaka is a small, focused team working to deliver exceptional value, quality and care. A nationwide team is in the works. We’re growing towards that reach while keeping the homeowner’s experience at the centre.
Our plan is simple: you design and place your order; Hlaka delivers one comprehensive package. As builds are completed, the team submits photographs for review and publication beside the design. Real examples help you choose with confidence and imagine what’s possible at your own home.
Less technical detail to wrestle with. Clear pricing. Convenient decisions. And the satisfaction of seeing your idea become something real.
